Shhhh! I have a secret :-)

There's an event at our church called Canvas. It's a vision of our worship pastor's where people from all forms of the arts can bring their original works. Original songs, dances, artwork, spoken word, poetry, dramas, videos, you name it. It's pretty awesome and if you have never been to something like this you should consider coming next time we have one. Anyway, I was given the opportunity to perform at this event, but because of obvious reasons wasn't actually able to perform live. But, our Holy Spirit led, amazing worship pastor still felt like this song that we wrote together should still be apart of the night. So we did some creative things by way of video and made it happen. My goal this week was that I wanted to be able to get in the car and actually make it for at least part of the event and see the song done etc. After the ER visit the night before, I wasn't sure this goal was going to be achieved. But, despite what the enemy had planned, God knew the desire of my heart and He made it possible for me to make it to the event last night!!! We sneaked in and slipped into the back row and left before it was over, but I WAS THERE. I made it and it encouraged me so much to see what God is doing through so many other talented people and it encouraged me to keep pressing forward into what God is saying. It made me feel kind of normal.

Rewinding a little to Friday afternoon. We met with our other doctor who gave us the results to my adrenal/hormone levels and it was another amazing answer to prayer! My test results basically confirmed that I am in an adrenal crisis which is what the internal doctor suspected and what we learned might have to do with the autonomic nervous system issues that we spoke about in yesterday's post. My levels were almost flat lined compared to the normal...if you could see this piece of paper you would think why is her heart still beating! So we were sent away with a few more natural ways to get things straightened out! So, confirmation, that I am not completely crazy in thinking that there is definitely something that needs to be fixed in this body of mine. More answered prayers and more forward progress. Thank you Jesus.

The song that was written for last night's performance was based on a few scriptures. Number one being Hebrews 10:23, " Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." I have had this scripture on my refrigerator for 3 years. I see it every time I open the refrigerator or get water from the door. Basically, if you wanted to re-word it, it is telling us to not doubt that God will be faithful to do all that He has promised. And what has He promised? To many for me to say, you will have to use God's Word to discover them on your own :-)

I can't take any credit for the writing of this song because it was totally birthed out of God's Word, He just let me say it in a different way and write what He has already established. Here it is:

Verse 1
My hope is in you God and You know who I am
I'm trusting You, Oh Lord, and You're amazing plan
Still You're reminding me that you will never leave me
You will forever prosper me and hold me dearly

Chorus
You are true, You are true
Nothing else in my life will ever do
You are true, You are true
Holding fast to all You've promised that You'd do
You are true

Verse 2
Amazing Love, Oh Lord, how can it really be
Your mercy's all that I could ever really need
You're my Restorer, Comforter and my Healer
All of Your promises have made me Your believer.

Bridge
You stay the same, I will proclaim, lift high Your name
Constant in change, eternal flame, You know my name

You know my name, You know my name...You know my name.

He knows us by name and how can we know He is true unless we know Him. We have to know Him in order to trust Him and access every promise that He has so graciously put before us. Jesus and His Word are one in the same. He's there, we just have to access Him and allow Him to be living and active in our lives. He knows you, but do you know Him? My answer...the fruit of trust and peace and not fear and doubt in my life is showing me that I am beginning to know Him better and better each day. Psalm 9:10, " Those who know Your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." Seek, Know and watch God fulfill every promise He has made to you. Sounds so easy, doesn't it? Praying for each one of you who reads this that you will press into God and know Him and see His goodness manifest itself in your life...
